RosterApps is Awesome at Bidding

Bidding, bid lines and bid packages can be a little stressful for some organizations (that use such methods) for generating their employees' schedules. RosterApps handles these things remarkably well, and we have recently built some features that make it even more capable.

One of the causes of stress for many is validating the bid lines of any given bid package, and making sure their lower-seniority people have enough bid lines to choose from when conducting their bid. RosterApps has a feature that helps with this, where it will check the bid lines of any given bid package against the skills listed for each employee in the work group -- and then tells you in red text on the Bid Packages page, whether or not all of your work group members have enough bid lines from which to choose. Now you don't have to worry about any of your people not being able to submit all of their choices.

RosterApps will also show you all of the skills used in any bid package, so you don't have to go hunting through each and every shift trying to find what you may have overlooked. Even if you have a single shift among thousands with a different skill required, you can quickly find it and fix it:

Because RosterApps speaks Spreadsheet (Excel and otherwise). One of our most well-received feature additions was the ability to import and export from spreadsheet programs. If your new bid package does not differ much from the previous one, many of our clients simply export their existing bid package, go into a spreadsheet to make any edits required, and then import the modified bid package back into RosterApps.

But wait, there's more. It gets even better -- Upon importing the new bid package, RosterApps runs through several logic checks on your bid lines, to look for mistakes, erroneous or missing data, totaling period hours, etc. RosterApps has many more capabilities surrounding bids, schedules, and helping you to manage your workforce and scheduling needs.
