What we learned on our summer vacation recent trip to NACU (North American Crew Utilization conference in Dallas):
- Airline scheduling people are a nice bunch of folks.
- Southwest Airlines makes for a great host.
- Gretchen is an organizational goddess.
- Dealey Plaza isn't nearly as big as you might originally think.
- Reunion Tower slowly fills you with the Dallas skyline at roughly 1 RPH (Revolutions per Hour)
- Hard 8 is pretty good BBQ. It’s not Woody’s, but the brisket was still very good.
- Considering crew pairing, maintenance schedules, uncooperative weather and seasonal adjustments is both Art and Science.
Thanks to everyone who made the Spring 2014 NACU conference a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again this fall. On to Portland!
